The NDPL offers programming for all ages! Below is a list of our current ongoing programming.

Don’t miss the fun! In addition to book clubs and storytimes, we also offer several creative, educational, and social activities throughout the year. Many of these are one-day events and are only posted on social media. You can stay up-to-date with the latest programs and activities by following us on Facebook.

Cook Book Club

Grab a copy of the cookbook from the circulation desk, bring it home, find a recipe, and make a dish! Bring your meal to the book club and try out what everyone else made.

DAY: Meets once every other month
TIME: TBA

NDPL Book Club

This friendly, welcoming group is open to all. Each month we choose a novel to read and then gather to discuss our thoughts. Share your literary critique or just share your experience reading the book.

DAY: Third Wednesday of the month
TIME: 7:00 pm

Historical Fiction Book Club

New York in the roaring 20s, Edwardian England, WWII France, life on the American frontier... If you love historical fiction as much as we do, join us on the second Wednesday of the month for our Historical Fiction Book Club!

DAY: Second Wednesday of the month
TIME: 7:00 pm

Mystery Book Club

Caper or cozy, true crime, suspense, or supernatural, if you love a good mystery, join us on the first Wednesday of the month for Mystery Book Club. This program is great fun and open to all.

Homeschool Book Clubs

Join us for one of our homeschool book clubs! Children in both book clubs will talk about the book, explore plot structure, themes, and more!

The Bookworms (for ages 7-10)

DAY: Second Tuesday of the month
TIME: Noon

The Page Turners (for middle schoolers)

DAY: Second Wednesday of the month
TIME: Noon

Preschool Storytime

Join us at the library for stories, songs, and friendship. Storytime is designed especially for pre-K children, babies, and toddlers, and is open to all.

PRESCHOOL : Wednesdays at 10:00 am
BABIES & TODDLERS : Wednesdays at 10:30 am

Storytime is also a great way to meet other parents!
