Signups for Summer Reading starts on June 18th

Signups for summer reading start on June 18th!

For the kids we will have a leveled reading tracker to be completed to earn a prize!

For teens and up it’s as easy as just reading books and earning rewards!

Also, for every trip you take to the library over the summer you get a raffle ticket to be entered to win a grand prize at the end of the summer!

Kickoff starts on June 24th with Lindsay & Her Puppet Pals

The spectacular Lindsay and her Puppet Pals will be kicking off summer reading this year with us again! June 24th at 6pm.

Concerts at the Ball Fields

 

We invite you to Smitty’s Ball Field every Tuesday in July where we will have an excellent collection of talent coming out to make the evening an absolute blast!

Game Nights Galore!

Indoor Game Nights

Since it’s summertime we anticipate everyone wanting to enjoy the weather while it lasts so most of our game nights will be outside at the ball field, but we do have a few indoor ones too!

We are starting off strong with an Uno Tournament at the Library on the 26th of June.

Our other indoor game night will be a puzzle competition on the 30th of June, make sure you bring a team to take home the gold!

 

Outdoor Game Nights

Weather permitting, we will be having game nights at Smitty’s ball fields every Thursday in July from 5:30pm-7pm!

Kickball on July 10th

Ultimate Frisbee on July 17th

Four Squares on July 24th

And last but not least Capture the Flag on July 31st

 

Programs

Imagine, Build, Play with the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire

The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire will be hosting the program Imagine, Build, Play! On July 9th at 1pm at the library we will learn about the Engineering Design process and make our own projects to take home after!

 

The Children’s Literacy Foundation Free Book Give Away

FREE BOOKS! What else can we really say about it? We love books here.

The Children’s Literacy Foundation’s Kari Allen will be hosting a story time & a free book give away on July 14th at 3pm!

 

Finding Nature’s Treasures

Kelly Dwyer will be taking us on a nature walk to see what treasures we can find right in our own back yard! We hope to see all our nature sleuths at 1pm on July 16th.

 

Playful Engineers Makerspace Chain Reactions & Creative Contraptions

The Playful Engineers are coming to town! On July 23rd at 1pm they will be bringing all the supplies to make a Rube Goldberg Machine to learn about chain reactions & creative contraptions.
