The Friends is an organization of people interested in promoting and supporting the programs and services of the public library.
Membership is open to any member of the public who would like to join.
There is no membership fee but donations are welcome.
Active Members attend meetings and help plan and execute activities.
Inactive members may attend some meetings and activities as desired and often provide financial support.
Meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month April through December at 7 PM at the Library.

Sponsorship:
The Friends sponsor Library programs for children and adults. The Friends provided some of the financial support for the children's summer reading program in 2009-2011. The Friends provide refreshments, supplies and volunteer help for the programs.
The Friends provide funds to purchase passes to various museums in the State so that community members may visit these institutions for free or reduced cost. Among the passes presently available are the Squam Lake Science Center and the Farm Museum.
