Built in 1984, the New Durham Public Library is a small library that houses over 14,000 books, CDs, DVDs, and more. Library cards are free with proof of residency, and are only $10.00 for out-of-town patrons.  All library programming is open to everyone, although library patrons are given spots first for events with limited space. All residents are welcome to join our fundraising group, the Friends of the Library, which supports our programming from the Summer Reading Program and special after-school classes to evening lectures, and also purchases furniture.

Facilities and Services available at the library include:

  • A public copier and scanner
  • Faxing
  • Scanning of documents to a USB drive
  • A telescope available for checkout, maintained by the good people at the NH Astronomical Society
  • Free Passes to a variety of local museums and attractions
  • Public use computers and WiFi
